Improved harvesting performance.

To produce high-quality forage, the harvested crop must be dried out evenly. The tines on VOLTO machines are therefore equipped with fingers of equal length. These pick up the crop in layers, and ensure that it is mixed thoroughly. The result is a homogeneous spreading pattern that facilitates rapid drying out of the harvested crop.

A further advantage of layered pick-up is that the front and rear tines are loaded evenly, which greatly extends their service life. Should you find you have to replace a tine, however, you always have a suitable replacement in stock, since you can use the tines in either direction of rotor rotation, thanks to their equally long fingers.

Greater reliability.

To cushion loads, the tines feature five windings. With a material thickness of 9.5 mm, however, these are rigid enough to deliver clean raking. To protect animals and following harvesting machinery, each spreader arm is equipped with a tine loss guard. These guards prevent lost tines and, thanks to their trapezoid shape, prevent the forage from becoming wrapped around the spreader arm.

Intelligent configuration.

To adapt the machine to the prevailing harvesting conditions, the spreading angle can be set over a range from 12° to 18° depending on the model. Meanwhile, the tines can also be adjusted forwards or backwards by 7°, allowing you to fine-tune your desired spreading pattern.

Turning made easy.

In the headland position, the machine is raised over the areas that have already been processed. The function is also ideal for moving over small ditches or for reversing the machine.

Ideally suited to the job at hand.

For easy attachment to a range of different tractors, VOLTO machines feature a number of hole positions for the upper linkage. When using a castor guide wheel, the upper linkage runs in a slotted hole to facilitate unrestricted ground-contour following independent of the tractor.

Quick and easy.

Hitching the VOLTO on or off takes no time at all. Simply folding out the parking stand is all it takes to ensure the machine is positioned securely. The drive shaft and hydraulic lines can then be moved into place at their designated holders. To keep the space requirement as low as possible, all models can be parked in the transport position.

The crop guard for superb clearance.

All VOLTO models, with the exception of the VOLTO 75 T, can also be fitted with an optional perimeter spreading device using a folding crop guard (available through CLAAS Parts). This crop guard is mounted on the outside of the tedder frame and keeps all the crop on the field. Its shallow angle relative to the crop limits the trajectory of the material during the tedding process. The wheels no longer need to be set at an angle, which saves valuable time. Simply swing the guard into position and the crop stays where it belongs. For normal tedding, you simply swing the mat up and out of the tedding area, depending on your choice of option.

  • Clean field edges.
  • No need to angle the entire machine to one side.
  • The crop is not thrown back inwards, ensuring a uniform crop spread.
  • No overlapping in the following pass means full utilisation of the working width and drying takes place evenly.
  • To ensure consistently good results, the mounting is free to pivot so the tedder tracks accurately behind the tractor.
  • No uneven loading of axle stubs.

An optional, hydraulically folding crop guard is available for all VOLTO three-point tedders and VOLTO 1300 T, and 900 T models. This requires an additional spool valve
