Climate FieldView and CLAAS TELEMATICS are now connected!
Two precision farming powerhouses now have a simpler way to view more of your farming data. Climate FieldViewTM, the flagship product of the Climate Corporation – Bayer’s digital farming arm – can now connect to CLAAS TELEMATICS through the CLAAS API (application programming interface).
What does that mean? Growers like you can access data for field- and site-specific documentation and use it to decide on strategies for fertilizer, crop protection, planting, and harvest. Simply connect your CLAAS TELEMATICS portal through the CLAAS API app to FieldView, and view all your information in one place.
“This new ability to synchronize data will help farmers improve their profitability, manage risk, and save valuable time by gathering data and conducting analysis all in one, easy-to-use portal,” explains Blair Hardie, Product Manager, Efficient Agriculture Systems (EASY).
Farmers can opt to add on Automatic Documentation in CLAAS TELEMATICS for driver-independent, field- and site-specific documentation. This provides a more complete overview, with data automatically assigned to each field based on boundaries.
Besides machine data and consumption figures, you can also access yield data and measurements from NIR sensors. When CLAAS TELEMATICS is connected to FieldView through CLAAS API, the grower or operator can see harvest data right in their FieldView user’s inbox. From there, the grower can select the files to sync with their FieldView account and further process the complete field-related documentation in FieldView.
With yield values and maps from a CLAAS combine or forage harvester, FieldView can generate a site-specific planning prescription or fertilizer maps for the coming season.
