CONVIO FLEX: A Cut above the Rest.
The launch of the all-new LEXION 8000-7000 Series combine a year-and-a-half ago send a signal that CLAAS was fully committed to making the very best harvesting equipment in the world. The launch of the LEXION 6000 Series combine less than a year later, confirmed that we have not forgotten about the straw walker market either. But even before that, CLAAS quietly rolled out the CONVIO FLEX, the first true flex draper built specifically for the LEXION combine. If you “missed the memo” on the header release, here’s ten reasons why you should take a closer look:
1. The View:
The cutterbar on the CONVIO FLEX is positioned closer to the operator, allowing 85% visibility of the header's feed deck to cutterbar. This is a huge advantage over other headers. Increased visibility is the key to increased operator comfort and less fatigue for those long days in the operator’s seat.
2. The Angle:
The CONVIO FLEX offers the flattest belt angle (and deepest belt) of all competitive flex drapers, reducing head loss and putting more grain in the tank. It is one thing to have the most efficient combine in the business, it’s another to have a head that’s just as efficient.
3. The Tension:
Draper belt tension is critical to performance and no one does it better than CLAAS. The CONVIO FLEX offers tool-free adjustment in a matter of seconds . . . much faster than the competition.
4. The Flex:
The CONVIO FLEX has a true 9 inches of flex across the entire width of the head – unlike some cutterbars that only flex at a couple joints. It is the perfect head for harvesting on the ground without digging into the ground.
5. The Cut:
Using a direct mechanical drive to the dual panetary knife drives, the CONVIO FLEX provides stronger, more reliable power to the cutterbar than its competitors. Dual knife drives (on all but our smallest header) and timed gearbox drives work together to ensure a cleaner cut.
6. The Reel:
Cam action reel tines ensure a gentle feed and a more efficient crop flow. Industry-exclusive, tool-free adjustments make for quick modifications.
7. AUTO BELT SPEED:
An industry-exclusive, the AUTO BELT SPEED feature adjusts belt speeds relative to ground speed. The faster the combine travels through the field, the faster the belts go to ensure that feeding is continually optimized.
8. AUTO FLEX:
The CONVIO FLEX senses conditions in the field and automatically flexes, eliminating the need for operator adjustments.
9. ACTIVE FLOAT:
The CONVIO FLEX adjusts hydraulic ground pressure on the fly based on the contour of the ground to keep the cutting blade as close to the ground as possible.
10. The Lights:
