CLAAS Machines:

New JAGUAR 900 Series forage harvester improves profits

Higher throughput, better chop quality, fuel efficiency and time-saving features all come together in the new JAGUAR 900 Series forage harvester. And when you add TERRA TRAC to the JAGUAR 990 or 960, you get a more comfortable ride, reduced soil compaction and increased stability.

TERRA TRAC allows the JAGUAR 990 or 960 models to travel up to 25 mph on the road, and it provides added stability and traction on slopes. The JAGUAR TERRA TRAC is the first forage harvester with a standard function to protect the soil and grassland against driving damage.

“The new 900 Series with TERRA TRAC plus the innovative ORBIS header raise the bar in the performance features that our customers seek the most – efficiency, optimal crop flow, reliability and convenience,” says Matt Jaynes, CLAAS of America Product Manager for Self-Propelled Forage Harvesters.

ORBIS Headers Take Productivity Up Another Notch

This JAGUAR series increases productivity significantly, especially when paired with the innovative ORBIS corn header. The ORBIS is a durable, row-independent header that provides superior ground contour following, precise, efficient chopping quality and consistent crop transfer.

The ORBIS 750 and 600 are incredibly strong headers, because their frames are stamped from a flat piece of metal with no welded joints. Durability is also evident in the PREMIUM LINE knives, crop flow guides and the Christmas trees. The newly designed knives are shorter, and stronger points on the header prevent double cuts in the field.

Increased Power and Efficiency

The JAGUAR 900 series is also powerful. The top-of-the-line 990 model has an extraordinary 925 horsepower, delivering industry-leading throughput to harvest more tons per hour. The JAGUAR 970 features an inline-6 engine with 790 horsepower, which also delivers major throughput.

In spite of the increase in power, fuel consumption remains low. Due to improved engine design and power transfer, the new CLAAS forage harvesters deliver 10% fuel savings compared to competitive models.

A new CEMOS AUTO PERFORMANCE option provides even more savings by automatically adjusting horsepower and speed for improved engine efficiency and maximum harvesting capacity. Plus, a larger fuel tank and LED service lights minimize downtime for refueling and maintenance.

Improved longevity and features

The JAGUAR is known for its unparalleled reliability, and the new 900 series takes it to a whole new level. The feedroll cabinet is 30% stronger, providing a smoother crop flow, more consistent chop quality and the highest reliability on the market. In addition, the PREMIUM LINE wear plates, knives and hard metal shearbar are the longest lasting anywhere.
