New ORBIS 900 Header Wins Top-10 New Product Award

The all-new ORBIS 900 is the latest row-independent JAGUAR forage harvester header from CLAAS. It is designed to be even more durable while providing more consistent cutting and feeding.

Don’t just take our word for it. This new header received a Top-10 New Product Award from World Ag Expo® and the International Agri-Center®.

This ORBIS 900 series was introduced in October 2020. Its frame is stamped from a flat piece of metal with no welded joints for superior strength and durability. PREMIUM LINE knives, crop flow guides and better positioned feed drums provide added consistency and dependability.

“The CLAAS ORBIS line is already known as our top-of-the-line header,” says Matt Jaynes, Product Manager at CLAAS of America. “We took these refinements and improvements very seriously, so operators could benefit from greater harvesting efficiency and superior performance, even in down crop situations where ‘floating’ the head is required to capture the entire crop.”

With a working width of 30 feet, the ORBIS 900 uses AUTO CONTOUR hydraulic swing movement compensation to closely follow ground contours for optimal performance, even on the most uneven ground. But this impressive width won’t slow down operators who want to move quickly from one field to the next. The ORBIS 900 folds and unfolds in just 22 seconds.

These improvements in design made the ORBIS 900 a favorite at this year’s World Ag Expo, where the Top-10 New Product Competition is held annually. Products are judged on originality, innovation, practicality, economy/affordability, and overall value to agriculture. The judging panel consists of farmers, ranchers, university professionals, ag equipment dealers, ag media and more.
