The key to successful harvesting? Smooth teamwork between everyone involved.
- New CLAAS fixed chamber concept
- Reliable, robust drive system
- Operating reliability for maximum performance and productivity

A new fixed chamber.
The fixed-chamber baler is a part of CLAAS history. Further improving a product that has set the standard – that was the challenge set for developing the new ROLLANT 540. The new concept with generously dimensioned sprockets ensures a long service life for all components. Wear is reduced by the large contact area between the sprockets and chains. The drive system uses Tsubaki 1¼˝ chains (main drive and rotor drive).

CLAAS Heavy Duty: When the going gets tough.
For baling moist material, robust, high-performance components are essential. So the 15 rollers have been strengthened, with a 2 in (50 mm) shaft diameter on the driven side. The rollers under the highest loadings are supported in double-row roller bearings made of high-strength cast steel.

Operating reliability for maximum performance and productivity.
The ROLLANT 540 has higher torque at the main gearbox. That means even more power, which is vital when working with difficult crop materials, such as moist or wet silage. And on the subject of Heavy Duty: the massive rotor structure is of double-hardened 8 mm boron steel. Four rows of tines ensure optimum crop pick-up. the power requirement is relatively low, thanks to the helically arranged dual tines. A sturdy frame provides all-around protection. The rollers are even stronger than before, with a large stub axle.

All Heavy Duty components will deliver high reliability and a long service life, no matter what operational demands you put on your new ROLLANT. This is clearly reflected in the large chain dimensions.
