JAGUAR 990
First-class chop quality, enormous throughput and low fuel consumption - the JAGUAR 990 brings the performance of the 925-hp MAN V12 engine to the field.
With more than 40,000 machines produced since 1973, the JAGUAR is the world's #1 self-propelled forage harvester.
To get here, CLAAS has continuously developed the JAGUAR for you. Today, you can rely on a drive concept that saves up to 10% fuel and works at least 5% more efficiently than the competition. Intelligent crop processing systems that help you produce a basic feed that can produce more milk per day. That's what makes the JAGUAR the world market leader.

In a market comparison, the drive system of the JAGUAR delivers the highest efficiency. The chopper components are powered by a maintenance-free Powerband directly from the transversely mounted engine, whose performance is precisely tailored to the work systems.
Intelligent systems such as AUTO FILL, the new Dynamic Steering, or the new CEMOS AUTO PERFORMANCE automatically control the machine and optimize their respective processes. In order to harvest as efficiently as possible, the driver only has to activate these systems and let them run automatically.
The cab of the JAGUAR has many new features to increase operator comfort. The new CEBIS with 12” touchscreen puts everything at the operator’s fingertips. An intuitive screen design similar to the classic CEBIS makes it easy to understand and operate. And the new armrest and operator console of the JAGUAR are designed to increase operator convenience.
The straight-line JAGUAR crop flow is the most efficient in the industry. The crop flows and accelerates directly through the machine without twisting or turning that can cost you in crop quality. This enables maximum throughput without wasted power and fuel, plus high operational safety.
Of course the engine and horsepower matter, but the intelligent control of all systems. From the header to the spout to everything that drives it all, the JAGUAR is designed for maximum performance while also saving fuel. Its consumption values are impressively low.
High quality silages increase milk yield and improves beef rate of gain. That's why the quality of your shredded material comes first with everything we do. We equip your JAGUAR with technologies that have a clear impact on the quality of the feed.
First-class chop quality, enormous throughput and low fuel consumption - the JAGUAR 990 brings the performance of the 925-hp MAN V12 engine to the field.
The JAGUAR keeps the set speed constant and regulates engine power and driving speed according to the crop.
Dynamic Steering reduces the number of turns of the steering wheel needed to turn the JAGUAR forage harvester at the end of hte field. When travelling straight ahead at up to 6.2 mph (10 km/h), activating Dynamic Steering through CEBIS means the operator now only needs 1¼ turns of the wheel to reach full lock. From 6.2 to 12.4 mph (10 to 20 km/h), the number of steering wheel turns needed is increased dynamically.
The ingredient content is measured by the near-infrared sensor (NIR) serves as an adjustment reference for cutting length and additives.
